The Department of psychology was established in the year 2002 with a view of imparting the best psychological knowledge for the students.
Psychology as a subject has been gaining importance in various facets of life, so understanding psychology in its true sense has been the need of the hour.
As the aim of Psychology revolves around studying human behavior, this knowledge when imparted to students will help them to understand themselves and their surroundings in a better way.

To provide students with an understanding of human behavior that will support their ability to participate as informed members of the society, and to develop in them an empathetic outlook towards others and their surroundings.

- Students undertake minor Research projects as a part of their curriculum, 3 students presented their papers and National level conferences.
- As a part of the extension activity students go to various schools in and around Moodubidiri to give psycho-education.
- IQ Assessment of children of nearby schools is undertaken by the students of the Department.
- Students Conducted the Mental health Week by organizing Psychology exhibition, Guest talks to spread the awareness of Mental health.
