Department of UG Physics

Introduction

The Department of UG Physics was established in 1999 to impart the knowledge of physics to the B Sc students. The subject was introduced as the optional subject under B.Sc degree to introduce some of the concepts of physics and its effect on contemporary world. The department has a well-equipped laboratory of capacity 40 students at a time. The experiments in the laboratory based on optics, mechanics, electricity, magnetism etc. The large collection of the books on Physics is available in department library as well as institute library.

Vision

To build a foundation for Excellence in development of research activities and academic in the field of Physics in professional courses as part of curriculum. The faculties will be providing the knowledge to the students, promoting the enthusiasm and interests in the study of physics.

Mission
  • The educational programs of the department are aimed at providing a range of courses to meet the needs of different student groups, by which they can expose to current affairs and opportunities for research.
