Introduction
Human existence is quite impossible without the presence of a healthy ecosystem. Our environment comprises all living and non-living components and their interactions within a natural habitat. Environmental conservation has become one of the core issues that need to be addressed to battle climate change and global warming. Sustainable development is the need of the hour that can save Mother Earth from the repercussions of industrialization.
Srushti forum is established to provide tools, training, and support for engaging adults and students in meaningful, productive discussions about sticky issues that affect the environment and communities. This forum focuses on issues such as climate change, water scarcity, water quality, natural disaster, extinction of species etc. and helps students to understand the issues related to environment and encourage them to engage in environment-friendly activities.
Objectives
- To give a better knowledge about the environment, recent scenarios and the ideas for disaster management.
- To encourage students to go through about renewable, non-renewable energy sources and to make them better individuals to choose the environment friendly activities and to conserve our environment.
Course Outcome
After successful completion of the course, the student will be able to:
- Know the importance of our Environment and different techniques to secure its authenticity and the concept of sustainability and sustainable development.
- Understand the ecological features and carbon footprints and conservation of biodiversity.
- Discuss different strategies to cope up with different environmental conditions and strategies to identify the risk, prevention and management of natural disasters/pollution
