Moodbidire: The absence of youth is not only evident in economic front but is almost nonexistent in any forefront of policymaking. Hence it is high time to young minds to participate in policy making and bring solid palpable development in the country, said Public Policy Analyst Akshar Damle.
He was speaking at an interaction program organised by ‘Abhivyakti’ forum of Alva’s PG Studies in Journalism, on Wednesday, at PG Seminar Hall.
Prioritizing students he told, ”Youths have a better perspective of the problems that affect them as such they need to be integrated in policy making”. He added and said, “A holistic approach towards analysing policies is necessary for young people to make an impact. Start from giving feedbacks to policies, and one can gain expertise in the area eventually. Ventures like My Parliament provide more opportunities for students to play larger roles in the policy making process of India”, he stated.
Alva’s PG Studies in Journalism Head Dr Moulya Jeevan, Lecturers Srinivasa Pejathaya, Deevishri shetty, Prasad Shetty, Jishnu Menon, Reshma Bantwal and Geetha Bilinele were present among others.
