Dr. M. Mohan Alva, the chairperson of Alva’s Health Centre (AHC). He established this institution on May 31st, 1986 and since then the aim of AHC has only been to provide effective and affordable medical care and facilities to people in and around Moodbidri who otherwise had to travel a minimum of 40 kms to get basic medical treatments. From a small establishment, ACH is now a 200 bedded hospital/healthcare centre offering multidisciplinary services, thus achieving its prime purpose of promoting health care for the underprivileged in the community.
